[svn-r10528] Temporary reduction in manyrma2 comm. volume

Temporarily reduced the communication volume in manyrma2.  For right now, it's
valuable to get correctness testing from this test.  We are still tracking the
performance issue under #1669 and will tackle that for the next release.
